I have a 21 year old non conserved developmentally disabled daughter. She lives in this care home. The care home is run by Joanna V. Although her position in this home is un clear and Alta Regional as well as Joanna refuse to give me a clear discription of her title, Joanna states that she is the Administrator. It is a home that is supposed to help teach disabeled adults how to one day become independent and live on there own.
In the last week of April my daughter was beat up by this woman. This woman says she is an R N when in fact she is not and never really was. She has it on her business cards as well. She threatens my daughter on a daily basis. She is so mentally, verbally and emotionally abusive to my daughter to the point that my daughter is scared to death of her. Joanna told me that my daughter no longer has any rights at all and I as a parent of a disabeled adult child have no rights as well when it comes to my daughter. Joanna took my daughter's door to her bedroom off the hinges because she told me that my daughter needed to " CONFORM" to the rules. I told her that what she is doing and continues to do is illegal and she laughs at me. She says she can do what ever she wants to do and I have no say in it at all.
People be warned! Community Care Licensing is good to contact for help. But Homes censored through Alta Regional Center are for the most not good homes. They will take the money they get and make the lives of the people they are supposed to care for a nightmare. My daughter using allowed to even call her own doctor. This is a sick and sad case
