Burger King Restaurant #7470
The Worst Customer Service I have Ever Received

*Note: I was informed by the manager that the following incident should have been caught on video camera*

I went to Burger King for breakfast on June 7 at 8:39am, Heidi was my order taker on the drive thru and Sam was expediting. My order number was 695 and I paid $21.33, this particular Burger King is run by Kessler Group.

In the fast food world I understand that there is a balance between speed and convenience. I had a large order and there were cars in line behind me. After paying for my meal it was not unexpected that the cashier asked me to park so that the customers' behind would not have to wait as their orders were up. Having been in this situation before I asked for my condiments at the window before parking. I get very annoyed at having to get out of the car and get condiments because they were left out of bag, in my opinion this defeats the purpose of going through the drive-thru. At the time I asked for the condiments, a car pulled up to the drive-thru speaker capturing my cashiers attention. I did not get the condiments I asked for so I remained at the window instead of parking. At this point a second employee, Sam, came up to the order taker and asked her what I was waiting for. The response to this sounded like zesty sauce or something (the video should be able to clarify this). Sam picked up a zesty sauce, and had it in her hand when she asked me to pull ahead. Again I asked for the zesty sauce and some ketchup, she said it will be in the bag. Irritated I again asked for the sauce and ketchup, sarcastically adding "what is so hard about this?" As rude as the preceding question might have been it did not deserve the response it received. Sam picked up some ketchup and threw the sauce and ketchup at me. I threw it back and demanded my money back. The drive-thru window was slammed in my face which I then opened and again demanded my money back. The manager asked for the receipt with no acknowledgement of what had just happened. When returning my money the only response I received was an insincere sorry and bye. This has led me to this post and several afterthoughts.

1. Why is it that the larger a check is at a drive-thru restaurant, the worse the service is? This is not the first time my spending more than the average check has elicited exasperation. 2. I now understand why many non skilled jobs require a psychological test. I feel there had to be a control issue when all that would have been required to avoid this situation was to hand over the sauce that was already in the cashiers' hand. 3. Why is service like this allowed to exist when we as a country have such a high unemployment rate? Was this person the only application? I could almost excuse the rudeness in an inexperienced employee but the manager was no better.

I do not want anything to come from this complaint other than this behavior to be recognized and corrected. I have contacted the corporation and franchise headquarters anonymously and will note that I was listened to and treated with respect. Good luck to all future customers of this establishment, know that I will not be one of them.
