Three sisters automotive
Consumer Report

I am disputing a $150.00 charge on May 12th with Three Sisters Automotive because the “mechanic” Andy did not correct what he was hired (authorized) to do (upper ball joint), but said it did not need corrected and said another part needed repair (both lower ball joints), in “replacing" these parts, Andy (the “mechanic”) cut my right front CVC boot (axle boot) in two places which will now require the replacement of the whole CVC joint. Prior to the work done at Three Sisters Automotive, my right front CVC boot was in perfect condition and had been recently (the day before) inspected by a local Les Scwab Tire Center in Madras OR. What originally needed repair (left upper ball joint) still needs to be done. I called the owner of Three Sisters Auto, Tom, and told him what had happened, his response was a gruff, “So what do you want me to do about it, have someone else fix it? ” I want a full refund along with the cost of replacing my axle that was ruined by Three Sisters Automotive and repair what my vehicle was originally brought in to repair. The estimate for replacing the CVC joint is upwards of $400-$500 and I hold Three Sisters Automotive responsible for the damage done to said CVC joint. So far Three Sisters Auto has cost me several days of my time, money for meals, gas round trip 80 miles twice to their shop, $100.00 and $286.26 at the Portland Les Scwab, and 177.49 at the Madras OR Les Schwab to replace the axle, then 187.85 to fix he upper left ball joint which is what was supposed to be repaired initially... in actuality Three Sisters auto owes me approx $400.00 for cost incurred due to their error. I am requesting a refund on my payment - paid by credit card for $150.00 at this time due to the above complaints. They were only authorized to fix what was wrong. They did not. I went back and spoke with Madras Les Schwab to confirm the lower ball joints were fine and it was indeed the upper joint, once again, they put my car up on the rack then they showed me the play in the joint and said my lowers did NOT need replacing... They also confirmed the CVC joint had been cut and the clamp to hold it together had not even been put back on. This they put in writing...
