Its been three weeks that I applied for a free credit report from free online credit report [consumerinfo]. They said that I had 30 days to cancel before they charged $79.95 to my credit card. It's been three weeks and I can't get a hold on them. They only have one contact phone 1-888-888-8553 and everyday is always busy and by fax there's always an error sending the page.
Called my credit card company to inform that they cancel the payment before it was done and they told me they can't do nothing about it until the charged was done. Well the only thing I can do is wait to see what happens and keep on trying to contact them, but after reading all those fraud reports from consumer info I may well be another victim.
Advise stay away from consumerinfo and other related free credit report companies on the web.
