I had visited a local job fair to see if there were any companies I'd be interested in working for. The front desk collects your resume before you go inside and there are less than the amount of companies they portray in a flyer that you get online and at the door. It takes a few seconds to see your not gonna be interested in any of the companies. Few days later I get a call from the hiring mgr at the very event organizer that runs the job fair. His name is Gregg Robinson he works for Jack Cohen and the office is run by Mike they suck you into an interview and tell you your gonna be a superstar you can make a lot of money here. They only offer you 20k a year with no sick time. No breaks other than lunch. Hardly no leads to call prospective companies. Only two people make a decent salary in the whole place thich only has 6 employees. One of them is the owner and the other is an ex stock broker who likes to pat himself on the back a lot. It is a dingy run down office that lies to its customers telling them that they have 45 recruiters on staff that pre screen applicants for only the postions being posted by the company you are calling.in reality an offsite call center from India just randoml picks any resume with no regard if the are capable of any job listed. I find a lot of companies that were burned for thousands of dollars are in fact pissed and don't want to take a space at the job fair anymore and with good reason. They try to play up nothing like its something and tell them in the scripted pitch that for $2100 they get a catered breakfast and lucnh table and chairs and resumes from applicants. I don't know who is more stupid Jack Cohen for thining he can get away with this type of chicanery or the companies how waste their money not realizing they are getting what they should be getting and it shouldnt cost that much. Tables and chairs indeed. I'm looking to quit this job very soon my unemployment paid me more. As no companies are jumping to pay for space whatsoever. They hired a new young girl who can talk and chew gum at the same time but gave her the same spiel as everyone... Your gonna be a superstar then they fed her an account that i think the hiring mgr called for her and just gave her the sale. He resembles a perveted looking homeless jesus who leers after young girls. This place makes my skin crawl.
