While standing in line to check out (for a very long time) the entire line watched the employee uncomfortably as the cashier/lottery line girl was very frank and rude/unfriendly to the older man in front of us. He told a joke, she stared at him and did not even try to make a joke. My husband and I are new to the area and were given a gift card to BJs, told that we could use it without a membership, which was not true as we discovered. But as soon as this girl found out we did not have a membership she said loudly "you don't have a membership, a BJ's membership?" We explained that we did not know and we thought we could use it, simply being charged a bit more. But she pointed to the sign and read that the membership was needed, acting SO rude I was embarrassed and shocked.
I have actually never encountered such as horrible employee. I have never complained to a company, but felt this was necessary. I understand these are hard times, but you will lose business if this girl continues to work here. BJ's on this day was not a customer friendly environment and we found ourselves in a sour mood for the rest of the day, and negative word of mouth was spread, and will continue with employees like these. I just wanted to let you know so that you could do something about such a horrible employee.
