Angry Manage

I am a Latino that once more had to deal with speaking up in a business in Texas and had to deal with an all white person’s angry feedback. This morning I took my sister to breakfast at the Denny’s by Lackland AFB San Antonio, TX. The food and waitress service was excellent and very professional, but the problem happened when I went to pay for my meal. The manager was having a problematic discussion with a customer paying for his meal. There was a line of other people waiting to pay. I was also waiting. After the manager finished with the customer a retired USAF person walked up and jumped the line. The manager saw that and did nothing. After the customer finished paying, another Retired USAF person tried to jump the line. I then proceed to inform that Retired USAF person that he was not going to jump the line also; just because he had a hat that stated “USAF RETIRED.”

The manager then interfered with my communication with the second Retired USAF person jumping in front of me. He told me to stop talking to his customer and wait for the next register. At this point my sister told the Denny’s Manager to stop talking to me this way as we were also customers. The Manager then took care of the second Retired USAF that jumped the line. I then paid for my bill to the other cashier. My sister asked the Denny’s Manager for his business card. The Denny’s Manager gave us his card and told us not to come back to His Denny’s to eat again. I believe this would not have happened if I was white and or USAF Retired. This happened many times back when I was a child and was with my Dad and he spoke up in any business and had to confront all white people when he had to deal with many store or restaurant problems.
