I went to an estate sale run by Kay Chambers on 04/03. Within the estate I was sold a green horse sculpture that was represented as jade. The horse had an original sale price of $700.00 but since it was Sunday they were discounting prices. I originally purchased the horse for $300 since the horse had been repaired. I left that day a happy customer. However, when I finally took the item to check the value I was informed that I item had been miss represented and it was not indeed jade. I then called Mrs. Chambers and informed her of my findings. She first said that a refund would be given before she found out the value.
Once I described the item to her she said that she does not know why it would not be jade. Kay also told me that sales are usually final at estate sales. Kay then said that she would check into the matter and give me a call back. As of this day I have not gotten a call back and it has been about over a week now. I do understand that all sales are final at estate sales but that should only apply to items that were not miss represented. Mrs. Chamberss website says that her company has been serving San Diego County for over 20 years. This leaves me with the question of how many other San Diego residents has Mrs. Chambers Company has rip off during that time and how many unknowing people have been lied too.
