Jet Blue cancelled my flight in July. They offered me a credit that could be used at "any time, to go anywhere for anyone". I accepted. Today, when I attempted to use my credit I was informed that it had EXPIRED and that the remaining unused credit was void. Had I been informed that there was a one year use it or lose it restriction, as an infrequent traveler I would have insisted on a refund. Since Jet Blue has had the use of my money all this time, failed to provide the services I originally paid for and never informed me of the 1 year expiration I see no reason why they are insistent about not honoring the credit by referring to the fine print of their policy. The credit was misrepresented and denying me the use of this credit is the equivalent of theft.
