As an unemployed 55 year old father of two, I find myself tormented by the aftermath of an auto accident. Even though a minor accident and luckily no one seriously hurt, my predicament started on November 22nd after driving my car to South Florida Collision, LLC at 1890 NE 150th Street, in North Miami, FL for repair. As they were "highly" recommended by the tower at the scene of the accident (whom later turned out to work for them) I unwittingly left my car and didn't use caution. Geico, the insurance company estimated a 40 hour repair (less than 2 weeks) and appropriately paid 3 weeks car rental. Unfortunately, it took over 2 months to get my car back. Throughout this time I was promised by the owner of South Florida Collision, Mr. Edwin R. And his manager Jason V. (whom both acknowledged a heavy workload as cause for the delay) that I would be fully reimbursed. Not only were the funds not made available throughout this vexing and unwarrantably lengthy repair but at the time of eventually picking up my car, no reimbursement was made ("the check wasn't signed") and only further promises to refund my $839.86 out of pocket cost were made.
My many subsequent phone calls (none returned), office visits, office sit-ins along with conversations with other disgruntled customers I met there have only reinforced my feeling of having been made a fool of. I now find myself in desperate need of repaying my uncle whom lent me the money to pay the car rental company as he is in need of heart medication.
