Looking at all the reviews on this and other sites about the services they received from UHaul rentals, it appears mine is somewhat minor.
I rented a smaill 4X8 trailer in Pomona, Ca to move household items up to the north state in Auburn, Calif. OK that was, I thought an easy thing to do. It took three trailers to find a good one that worked and had lights and did not leak. It was very old but had I think new tires on it. It did the trick as far as the move. When I went to return it to the dealer they told me to take it to in Auburn at the Shell dealer, he would not take it even when I pointed out his name was on the contract! He sent me to another in town and they said the same thing. I called the LAST dealer on the other side of town he at first didn't want to take it also, but after pleading my case about the others in town he said yes but was closing for the day by that time, so I took it in the next day and he informed me that U-Haul needs to crack down on all of this as the consumer is getting the run-a-round! YOU THINK? Can't get them to take back their equipment? Thats it, not as bad as others but still BULL UHAUL!!! In these times, people are moving more and looking for companies that WANT to help. GET WITH IT OR THEY/WE WILL FIND OTHERS TO SERVICE US! I sent this to their web site also as they wanted my feed back.
