The Sportsmans Guide
False Representation

I was convinced into buying this large heavy product due to the description provided in their ad that is not correct. I live in a high-crime area by Mariner High School. Last June my $375 Cycleshell motorcycle shelter was stolen. I was scouring the internet for a shelter that I could lock closed. This ad indicates this 50 lb shelter locks closed so long as I also purchase (for another $70 some dollars), the floor. So I did. The shelter does not lock down. The floor is a thin rubber mat that does nothing beneficial at all.

I am very angry anyone can come and lift this thing up and look at my bike, take the shelter, and take the bike. NO way to lock it down. Also the shelter has a tear in it. Also the shelter requires I buy a 108 x 43 foot piece of lumber to mount the shelter to so the wind doesn't blow it away. This also is not indicated in their ad. To get this shelter I had them send this to my former father in law's business so he could deliver it to me as my car is too small to carry a large box. He lives 40 miles away. I needed his help to carry and unpack the two boxes this thing came in. They want me to somehow pack this all back up myself. I don't think I can handle the size and weight and I don't feel my former father in law can make a 80 mile round trip just to help me repack this thing.

Also they want me to have UPS pick it up at my house—which will require I miss a day of work to be home and wait for UPS, or else risk having the boxes stolen as I live in a high crime area. I can't afford to miss a day of pay. My car is not big enough to haul this package myself to UPS—assuming I am able to pack it and find someone to help me carry the boxes—which I really have no one except my former father in law who lives 40 miles away. They refuse to refund me even a penny but at the same time they freely admit responsibility for having an ad that is incorrect, an ad that led me to buy this product i would never have looked twice at had it not been for the description in their ad. I am very unhappy—I feel I have been misled, and now am trapped with something that isn't what I wanted, and I have no way to return this and get my money back that I worked very hard for.
