Go to Citizen in Rochester report. The exact same sales pitch was done to me. Young male, fast talking, energetic, comes to my door and wants to sell me magazine subscriptions. They can be in my name, childs name, or even pets name. Magazines can come to me or donate to troops overseas. Very overpriced. He got miffed when I wanted to pay with a check and not cash. (should have been a tip off). He told me it was regarded as a donation and was tax deductable. He even gave me a receipt and circled HP Consulting, Inc on the receipt. Seemed legit until I checked with other neighbors and looked up the company on the internet. A scam throughout!!! It won't happen again!!!
