I just Reported The Secret Society to the Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, and Texas Governor, Rick Perry. The online reporting form fors not work, so I faxed and emailed my Complaint. The Complaint is as follows:
I received 2 solicitation lettersfrom "The Secret Society, " one in January and the most recentone being received yesterday, on 2/23. The return address for sending $139.95to "The Secret Society" showed an address of P. 0 Box 560647, Dallas, Texas 75356-0647. When IGoogled "The Secret Society" I found 138 Ripoff/Scam Reports between6/18/07 ad 2/10. The most recent one is copied below.* The link to these Reportsis: http://usacomplaints.com/Search/The-Secret-Society. Aspx. Therefore, I sent nothing tothem, and decided to instead Report "The Secret Society" to the TexasAttorney General.
As a former Assistant USAttorney for the W.D. Of Texas, I am surprised and offended that this SeniorCitizen Rip-off/Scam has been allowed to continue so long without beingprosecuted and shut down. The tenor of the letter obviously targets SeniorCitizens. I am now 66, and am taking the time to file this Complaint on behalfof all Texas Citizens, and especially those to whom these letters have beensent, and those to whom they will continue be sent in the future, if this Scamis not stopped. Therefore, I am handing these well documented facts to the TexasAttorney General Consumer Complaints Division, "on a Silver Platter. "Res IpsaLoquitor…The Facts Speak for Themselves.
