I called the Ross Clark circle location in Dothan, al Monday night about a troy bolt pony lawn mower. I was told they had a few in stock and I could pick one up tues morn. When I arrived, the only ones they had were repairs. I asked if the Montgomery hiway store had any any was told they had 5. I asked if they were repairs or if they were new and they said new. I asked if they would call and make sure and they said it shows they are new. Again I asked to call and make sure one was ready and they assured me one was. I drove to the other store, 20 miles from home with trailer in tow, and guess what... None were assembled. This was 12 pm. I was told it could not be assembled until 3 pm when the next person came in. It was very slow in the store and there were at least as many workers as shoppers. I then looked on my phone at lowes.com and saw I could order it and have it guaranteed to be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. I asked the guy about this, he went to talk to a manager, then came back and said he would go put it together. I went to go eat for 30 minutes, the mower was ready, but no one came to check me out. I pushed the help button twice, finally, 10 minutes later, another very nice guy comes by the department. I stop him and he helps me. We then have to check out up front which takes another 10 minutes, not your fault... I have always preferred you to home depot, but wasting close to 3 hours of my day off just to give you $1,200 of my money plus gas at $4 a gallon plus having to eat out, plus the pure aggravation... I will consider somewhere else next time.
