I have 3 LG DVD rcorders - 2 model 787 and 0ne 797. All three were unable to read or record DVD since more than one year ago. I diagnoised the problem is the DVD drive, because when the first one was in trouble, I can switch the DVD drive from another machine to make it workable, but later, one by one, all three were dead. This is definitely a quality problem that LG should be responsible.
