Masterpiece Communities of Metro-Atlanta, in conjunction with Kirkwood Builders, Inc. Of Douglasville, Georgia has got to be one of the most fraudulent duos in the business. Excited and green behind the ears, as most new homeowners are, I was swindle out of hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase a home that leaks, squeaks, and whistles year round. Talk about bells and whistles. You ain't heard nothing, YET.
I have complained over and over again through letter, via subcontractors, Superintendents, faxes, and everything you could imagine. I have cried, prayed, and laughed my self through this ordeal, all the way up to arbitration. I have not arbitrated and I think I am not, I think I want to get an attorney, so that this house can be purchased back by the Masterpiece Communities, Inc, and Kirkwood Builders of Douglasville, Georgia. They sited a mostly minority, low to moderate income community near a railroad, a gas tank farm, and an asphalt plant to say the least. Can someone say Environmental Justice?
The windows squeak and whistle do to large cracks where untrained, unskilled laborer installed them. Water still leaks into an unfinished room in this lovely split foyer home, as it was advertised. Various bugs slip in through unknown cracks, the unfinished room keeps the bottom portion of the house, coupled with poor insulation almost uninhabitable.
The floor boards squeak so loudly, that one disturbs the entire household. The drywall job was done so horrible, up until a few months ago they were sending people in to sand away blemishes and mud cracks. Like one of the other people who were ripped off by PUlet Homes, I almost laughed, as it had become a joke from so much mud and caulk. One subcontractor, stated and I quote, caulk, ahhh, The Builder's Duck tape. This only leads on to believe that the Builders and Developers in conjunction are hiring only people who can correct errors, not who build it right the first time.
The yard floods, due to unskilled men on bobcats, when I came home there was a man who could not tell me in English what he was doing in and to my yard.
Well, I could go on all day with this. ANY advice would be helpful.
