I purchased a 2007 Honda CRV from Wilde Honda in Waukesha, WI in September. Within a few months, I noticed tiny rust bubbles coming from underneath the paint on the rear tailgate. I took the car to the dealer and they worked with Honda. The tailgate was repaired and repainted by the recommended auto body shop. Within the last six months, the tailgate is again shwoing rust bubbles from underneath the paint. Honda claims the following: 1. Once the liftgate was replaced and repainted, they were no longer responsible for the problem. 2. The current problme is surface rust or due to a problem at the auto body shop—and that Honda does not and did not have any responsibility since the car was repaired. I would NEVER have accepted this substantial repair to a NEW vehicle had this been explained when the car was first repaired. I would have RETURNED the vehicle and demanded my money back! Now I'm stuck with a car that the auto body shop will 'repair' i.E. Sand and repaint that will likely rust again before I'm done paying for it AND the body shop will no longer be responsible either. NO SHOP ANYWHERE will warranty rust repair. This whole thing is completely BOGUS and I will never by a HONDA product again—not even a stupid lawn mower. And don't even get me started on the crummy tires from the factory or the problems with the rear differential. Honda used to stand for quality—now they're just a big lemon.
