To whom it may concern:
My name is michelle alexander of vallejo, california. My family and i are frequent customers of applebee's.
On the afternoon of october 11, i dined for lunch with my daughter and 2 grandsons at the applebee's restaurant in vallejo california located at 1041 admiral callahan lane. We ordered 2 for $20 babyback ribs with fries, buffalo wings and a garden salad as an additional side.
As we began eating, to my surprise; a cockroach was a part of our salad. I screamed! The waitress and the manager came to address my concerns.
Not only was the food portion a horrifying experience but the responses of the waitress and the manager were very tacky and unprofessional.
The waitress responded "that is why i don't eat here." then the manager responded with an "oh well" attitude. He also acted like he was offended that i would bring this issue to his attention. I gathered my family and immediately departed from the restaurant.
I have never experienced a situation like this at applebee's. The lack of concern by your employees was very offensive.
Please note that i did contact the health department. I am also contacting you because i think that you should be aware of this unsanitary incident as well as the poor customer service offered by your staff.
