Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to bring to your notice that there is a skin problem at C I Adams County, Jim Hammock Drive, Washington, MS 39190.
My son is an inmate there and he told me inmates are walking around with open sores. He has an irritable rash himself. The Doctor gave him steroid cream which has had no affect. Also, a problem is that some inmates do not have the $2 co-payment to see the Doctor so are going untreated. My worry is that it is a Staph infection or worse MRSA. It may be Scabies which of course steroid treatment & antibiotics would be useless.
I feel that this problem should be addressed as there are 2,700 men and of course staff at this facility and it is an immediate health risk problem
I intend to write to the BOP also to ask for help.
I am trusting you will give this matter your attention.
Sincerely,
Gillian Schwartz
