I upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows XP. Windows 7 installed all the drivers for my 3 year old Brother multi-function printer, MFC420CN, so the printer works fine. However, the software that comes with the printer is not compatible with Windows 7. I have contacted Brother and have been told that the software for my printer has not been upgraded and will not work with Windows 7 and there are no current plans to upgrade the software. So, I am left with a piece of equipment that has limited usability and Brother does not seem to care.
