Since 1987 I been paying to mortgage life along with my monthly mortgage payment. Since that time the underwriter for the Mortgage Life Ins has changed. I refinanced in 1998 and 2010 requested the optional Mortgage Life Ins. And Disaster coverage be transferred to the new loan each time.
On 9/24 I called GMAC about the a letter I received about the optional coverage. I was told that I was not converged on the Policy # 008141347 with Liberty Life. I, said this could not be right, and no changed had been requested by me or my brother since 1987. I was told the call Liberty Life they would have to correct this error.
I called Liberty Life in reference to the above, they told I had to prove that I was covered on the original request for insurance. I asked how? I asked them what had I paid $148.27 per month to them for? I called GMAC back requesting help and was told they don’t have my records. After searching my Insurance documents I found a letter from GMAC changing the Mortgage Life from MIC to Prudential. I called MML (800 328 93430) within 45 seconds, they pulled the file showing Ilona Thomas on the policy with Guy Williams for Mortgage Life insurance and they would mail me a copy. I called Liberty back and gave them this information.
Since 4/1/1997 no one can tell me what the $ 148.27 monthly payment covered. All Claudia, of Liberty Life Ins. Could tell me, was should a claim had been made they would have paid it. If they would pay for the claim then how come they can’t correct this error.
I did nothing to create this problem, and as a customer received to help from Liberty to resolve the matter. All I got the the run around. And cover up.
