False Information about giving Gift Certificates

On September 6, after seeing a infomercial, I called and ordered the H2O Mop. The next day, on 9/7/10, I received a recorded message to call a 1877 number for a secret sale on the H2O mop.

When I called I was told to show their appreciation for buying their product they were going to give me tow $50 gift certificates, one would be included with the H2O mop and the other one would be mailed to me. At this time, I was transferred to another CSR who told me that they would send me 4 of the most popular magazines, and just for viewing them they would send me a $25 gift certificate. Making the total amount $125 in gift certificates.

When I told the CSR no thanks, she replied, why not, we're giving them free. So I told her O.K.

I received the Mop On Sept. 14.inside the box was not a gift certiicate, but an application for coupons to be redeemed. Once I receive these coupons, after I collect $100 in Cash register receipts from a store that I chose from a list. I have to send in the coupon with the cash register receipt, then they would send me a $25 gift certificate.

The $125 gift certificates that they were giving to me is actually costing me $500 to receive them. This is false advertising, and the normal consumer such as myself, who is living on a limited income, can not afford to have these gift certificates given to them.

They should be forced to actually give the gift certificates as promised, or tell people what they are actually sending them and what the cost of these gift certificate redemption is going to cost them.

One other thing, they advertise a 30 day free trial. When I was not pleased that the product was not what was advertised and called to get a return authorization number. I was told that I had to pay for the return shipping. I also had to pay a shipping cost of $29.95 already. The 30 day free trial ends up costing approx. $60.

When they say free trial, Shippping costs should not be charged to the consumer until that 30 day trial is up. Never mind making them pay for return shipping.
