Capital One officially took over Chevy Chase Bank this past weekend (9-11-10). I logged on to the new online system just to check things out. I'm glad I did! I found that the due date on my revolving line of credit had been changed to TODAY (9-14-10)! The due date has always been the 26th of every month. I received NO notification that my due date was changing. This would make the second payment due within a span of 20 days. I called customer service and they had me on hold for 30 minutes before transferring me to the wrong department where I waited on hold for another 25 minutes. No one could explain why my due date had been changed and NO ONE understood my question. I simply wanted to know why my due date was changed and I wanted it changed back! I can't believe the ridiculousness of this situation. I was notified that my call would be monitored and recorded for training purposes. I would be interested to see how that call was used for training. I'm writing this complaint as I sit on hold again. I've been messing with this situation since 5:15 pm. It is now 6:31 PM. Did I mention the annoying song they have as hold music! I'm paying off my line of credit and closing my account. This is ridiculous!
