When i was first dropped off in Hinesville GA, I had a strong suspicion that the town was corrupt. After all, it was right next to Ft. Stewart. My estimations were confirmed when i arrived at the Hinesville police department on Dec 2.
My first encounter with the police in November. Someone had stolen my debit card, and i was unable to stay in a hotel in Hinesville after a brief and regrettable tenure with the military. Officer Tony Durham and a female officer arranged for me to stay in another for a few days while my replacement card arrived in the mail at the hotel i had stayed in.
As it turned out, these officers offered the only positive encounters i have had with the corrupt department.
After I had run out of money at the Econolodge after a month, I called the police to ask their assistance for finding a place to stay. I figured they were informed about locations.
The officers were hostile towards me and told me to "walk 50 miles down to Savannah" because there is no place in Hinesville that i would be able to stay. I later found out that they were lying because they were very familiar with a few locations.
I asked them to transport me there, and the officers, one of them an lt, told me that they"were not a transport service." They were hostile since they were informed about my discharge, an undeserved gen. Characterization, after 1 yr at ft. Stewart of not getting along with a criminal 1SG and his corrupt minions.
The officers, one black, rank corporal, the other named Lt. Watts, short and old, and another, caucasian tall with glasses and a mustache, began harassing me about my personal life. When they found out i was abused, they all ganged up on me together and told me that the abuse i suffered in earlier years from my family was my fault.
They repeatedly said that "I was the common denominator in all recent events, and that everything was my fault." They began shouting and harassing me repeatedly about my personal life. I filed an allegation against them they were so perverse, and nothing was done about it. Hinesville officers totally rip people off.
