WRONGFULLY Terminated

Thanks for your time. I really appreciate it but I would like to talk to you personally about my situation because I feel I was wrongly terminated from the beginning. I was a very hard-working officer with no write-ups, I was always on time and I worked my schedule with no absences. I was terminated off hearsay and my thing is if I wasn't the only person who seen that an inmate had a Myspace page (whom I NEVER had any contact or communication with whatsoever) why was I the only person terminated when there are computers all over the facility with internet access and officers are logging onto Facebook and other websites daily? I don't think the termination was fair nor was it THOROUGHLY investigated. I was called in the day I were to report back to work from my two off days and terminated off "hear say" which was not fair at all. Warden Cano made the statement to me that the investigation was ongoing. Well if that was so, why was I terminated and that was the end of the so-called investigation? It was also brought to my attention that Kitchen Supervisor Hardiman got off work that morning after I left at 6 A.M. Went home and CAME BACK and was looking for a computer around the facility along with Kitchen Supervisor Roberson to log onto Myspace. When they were told that the computers were blocked from such websites, their response was "Damn!" So they went back to the kitchen, called checkpoint and asked the checkpoint officer to call Kitchen Manager Sinnott to P-Building kitchen on a false emergency so that they could log onto Myspace but the Checkpoint officer refused. Somehow, they did get Mr. Sinnott away from the kitchen and were logging onto Myspace until he came back and caught them viewing the inmate's Myspace page and were given a write-up. That's when they went to Warden Cano, Sgt. Davis included and lied to her that I was on Myspace "chatting" with this inmate which is NOT true. If that were the case, wouldn't I have just "chatted" with him face to face being that I worked there and he's housed there. Yes I feel I was set up and wrongfully terminated. Back on October 22, I had a hearing with the unemployment judge (which I did win my case) and Mr. Davis. Mr. Davis stated to the unemployment judge that I was placed on administrative leave, which I was not and that he couldn't recall what shift I was on (which was 3rd shift) nor could he give a legitimate reason as to why I was terminated. The only thing he could base my termination off was hearsay. When asked about a computer policy, SOMEHOW, we all got disconnected and the Judge had to reconnect us several times. When asked was anyone ever terminated for using the computer for person use, his response was "No." The judge then asked him why was I terminated for using the computer and no one else was and he couldn't give her an answer. To make a long story short, I was fired off lies and hearsay which I think was a illegitimate reason to terminate me given the fact that my husband works there also. Truth be told, I have enough common sense to NOT break up my home for "chatting" with an inmate on Myspace or anything else of that nature. I had JUST gotten married when all of this came about. I feel that I was treated unfairly and fired "just because." Prior to my termination, I had written 5-1c's on Sgt. Mitchell. I was posted in the kitchen and the next morning when I got off, I accidentally left the reports in the kitchen. When I was driving home that morning I realized I left them and called the kitchen on my cell phone and asked Kitchen Supervisor Roberson to put them up for me until I came back to work that night. When I came back that night, I asked Ms. Roberson where did she put the reports and her response was that K/S Hardiman put them up for me. From what it seems to me, K/S Hardiman read those reports and reported to Sgt. Mitchell that I had written a 5-1c on her because the VERY next day is when the Myspace incident occurred. On another occasion, I was placed in unit by myself because we were short staffed. Sgt. Mitchell and Sgt. Davis were called by me to the unit to lock the inmates down since I was the only officer in that unit. Pill call was being ran when facility lockdown was announced. Sgt. Davis and Sgt. Mitchell reported to the unit to lock the inmates down. I announced to the pill call officer that my unit hadn't went to pill call yet and her response was "Well pill call is complete!" Sgt. Davis and Sgt. Mitchell came to my unit that night and sent only ONE inmate to pill call and locked the rest of the inmates down. I called the Capt. And reported it to him and also logged it into the Pass-on log as well. The next morning was my double day and the Unit Manager of that unit called me at the post I was working that morning and questioned me about it. I just simply explained to her that I was the only officer in that unit that night and the two Sgts. Mentioned above only sent ONE inmate out of the whole unit to pill call because of I didn't log that information in, everything would have fell on me. I am almost certain that this Myspace "set up" was retaliation given all the details mentioned above because BOTH Sgts. And K/S Hardiman were involved. I even took this information to a Law office and got the response that " Seems to me you were set up as retaliation and the fact that you have a husband working there, someone maybe tried to get you terminated to get a shot at him." Now the part about someone wanting to be with my husband is irrelevant to me. I am only stressing to you that I shouldn't have lost my job because Sgt. Davis doesn't like me. Well if that were the case, then everyone at that facility should be gone because that was her and Sgt. Mitchell's specialty getting people fired because they were either jealous of them or just simply didn't like them. I feel my termination was NOT thought through and it's not fair that I have to sit at home JOBLESS because of a few petty people at that facility. I was a very hard-working and dependable person. A few of the Capts. Can speak on my behalf when it comes to taking pride in my work. It's kind of strange to me that EVERYONE at the facility KNEW Sgt. Davis and K/S Hardiman set me up to get fired and no one said anything. But like you mentioned in your email, you can't guarantee me my job back but I just had to give you my input on my termination which was the honest to God truth and not the hearsay that may have been reported to you when asked the details upon my termination. There are a lot of innocent and hard-working people who have lost their jobs at TCCF because someone "didn't like" them or have been lied on to administration based on hearsay and nothing has been done about it. It's wrong and something needs to be done about it.
