We had just gotten evicted. On that very same day, my oldest son found an advertising on the internet. It stated that we can buy a home w / little down & it was even possible to move in on the same day.
When I spoke w / the guy, needless to say, I was extremely desperate. I think he sensed this and made everything sound soooo good. It was supposedly a government program for people exactly like me, not much money & eviction was okay.
He went on & on regarding the legitimacy of this new government ran agency & I desperately fell in hook, line, & sinker. I borrowed the money & rushed to a check cashing place & down loaded $205 onto a pre-paid visa card, gave him the card #, got the web-site address info, & thanked him.
When I tried to down load these listings across the U.S., I couldn't get on. The log-on info didn't work. When I kept calling back, he started getting impatient w / me & transferring me to a woman who was of no help either. Then they stopped answering the phone all together.By then, the boys & I knew I had been taken. We were all feeling royally screwed, which was exactly what we were.
The next morning I called the guy & this time he didn't answer professionally. I heard a tv playing cartoons & a little girl in the background. He then admitted he was at home & it was his day off. Obviously, this was his home #. Days later, the # was disconnected & of course, my money had gone with it.
I need my money back. I'm sure we all do. I'm not going to give up on this. It's a sad day in age when our country is far from its best, people are suffering, and there are still thieves out there who don't care about anyone but themselves & will do anything to anyone to get what they want & didn't earn — our money...
