This man pretty much stole my money and now Im having to live with my boyfriends parents because Stan Diggs Rip me and my boyfriend out of at least $ 10,000. At the end of February of I was looking for a house. I found a rent to own house on 118 Price street Montegut, LA 70377. I called the number that was adversed. The man name was Stan Diggs. I arrange to look at the house. The house was being remodeled. Me and my boyfriend Tony Rivet was told the house was going to be remodel and be like brand new. So I meet with Stan Diggs along with my boyfriend Tony. He told us the house was being remodeled and it be like brand new.instead on putting ten thousand down he said for us to buy all the appliances (stove and refriator) I said OK and we signed the papers and gave him a check for 5200. The rent was $650.00 a month.in which I paid for 4 months on time! Two hundred was going toward the prorated rent for the month. The house was promise to be done before the end of the week. I called numerous times during the week to see if it was done... We finally told Stan we'd go help to make things go quicker. We packed up our one bedroom apartment into a u haul and started on Friday helping with the house. When we showed up to help... The construction crew of 2 started showing up late and then stop showing up all together. Me and Tony worked all hours of the night and day with me having to go to work trying to finish the house. The house was never finished. I called numerous times asking Mr. Diggs when was the contractor coming back to finish the house. Summer is coming and we have no air conditioner. I kept calling and calling... He would say tomorrow or by the weekend. Nobody ever showed up. During the first 2 weeks we had no hot water heater and Stan REFUSED to fix it or buy a new one. So I had to buy a new one in which I didn't break the first one and I was told at the time of signing the papers I had to fix or buy a new one. Well me and my boyfriend brought a new one for $450.00 at lowes and replaced it. Along with a lot of other things. All the windows in the house were broken. I called Stan again numerous times and asked when they be fixed. He said he wasnt fixing them. I wasnt going to fix something I didnt break. After living in the house for like 3 weeks. The electrical in the living room went out. Me and my boyfriend replaced the fuses but it didnt help. I called Stan. He said Oh well not my problem. So we had NO lights or fans in the living room. There was holes all over the house that was promise to be fixed but never was. All the light fixtures in the bedrooms except the master bedroom were broken. The house was infected with roaches and rats. We bombed the house several times to stop the roaches but because of the holes and broken windows we couldnt stop them. There was no air conditioner. I called Stan MANY times to fix it but was never fixed even though he promised to fix it. The last straw was when we found black mold under a lot of our stuff and in the walls. The neighbors, which had owed the house in the past, said Stan bought the house from them. Stan never gutted the house only put sheetrock over the wet sheetrock and there is mold all over that house because it flooded with 6 feet of water. Stan told me and Tony it had only 24 inches of water and it never flood again. We stayed a total of 4 months in the house till we gotten sick and find the mold. We moved in with Tony parents because we are BROKE. Me and my boyfriend Tony had to move out because we gotten sick and couldnt afford the rent because of all the repairs I was having to pay for that were supposed to be finished before we even moved in. I put a lot of money into that house. Im completely broke now and about to have to file bankrupt because of this man stealing my money and wont give it back. He lied to me every time I talk to him. I need help getting my money back and stopping this man. He is a criminal scamming people of all there money. He needs to be stop ASAP. Please help me get my money back so I dont have to file bankrupy
