A few weeks ago, after researching several options, I ordered a Behringer UB802 mixer from Musician's Friend. There was a "free gift" of a pair of microphones with this purchase - - so I figured it was a good deal. The mixer arrived very quickly, but no microphones! When I called to inquire, I was told that they ran out and that no substitutes would be offered. The CSR was professional, but didn't really care to try to do anything to keep me a satisfied customer. I emailed MF to try and see if anyone in management would step in to help, but no response. I would think that MF would want to do something to apologize for their error and to offer some sort of compensation to retain me as a customer.
