I have had to file a claim against a dealership (Ben Shives Truck Super
Center) because they sold me a clone car. Here is what I have had to
Report so far:
I went to Ben Shives to buy a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 limited series.
For those of you who know about this car, this thing is almost
Impossible to find. We looked for almost 6 months for this car (for my
Ex). We finally found one at Ben Shives Truck Super Center. We
Purchased it as an investment being that there were less than 300 of
These made.
It was beautiful. Burnt orange, ram air, convertible, WS6 wheels, the
Whole nine yards. We kept the car for a while but then tragedy struck
And we were forced to put the car up for sale. We had many people come
Look at it when it was priced at $18,000. Many wanted to purchase the
Car until they ran the option codes.
Through this we found out that Ben Shives sold us a regular Firebird
With a different hood, decals, and wheels, made to look like our rare
Trans Am WS6. I then had to file a claim against his bonding company to
Try and get a settlement either for the car, or the difference (we
Invested almost $40,000 into this car by the time all financing charges
And such were made).
Ben Shives refused. First he claimed it really was a Trans Am WS6. Then
He said he didn't do it. Then he said that the paperwork (the car
Contracts we produced from the finance company) and he said we forged
Them after the fact to make them say WS6.
You would think with all our proof (the contracts, Ben Shives changing
His story repeatedly, and so forth), we would be able to get somewhere.
But alas, we are still fighting to accomplish anything and it has been
More than 6 months since we started.
