This company has a real scam going and actually is commiting fraud.
I read another report on this web site and the scam done to me is almost to the letter of the other victem.
I was searching for a moving company on line and i was contacted by a man named Jeff Gallo who clamed to be either the manager of ideal moving and storage.
I told him that i wanted to move from new jersey to florida and gave him the details of my move.
I also told him of the other estimates that i received and he gave me a price over $2000 less than any other price.
He claimed that he had a fleet of 50 trucks that were sitting because of the weather and the off season and this was a special price.
To confirm the price, the forman, the the truck driver and the owner drove to my home in vineland, nj.
The looked at the entire contence of my home and sheds and agreed to move me for aprox $4200.
I made it very clear with jeff gallo and the owners when they came to my home that i was not paying any extra for anything, incluiding the size of the load or boxes used, and they agreed.
When they came to pack my items they filled the 53' truck and could not take my hot tub with they agreed to move in the price.
I had to leave the hot tub at the new jersey home and try to either give it away or sell or or move it.
When the truck left the job forman was there to collect a partial payment and to document the items packed.
At this point we noticed that my kirby vacume was not packed and i had no way to put in my car (which was already full).
The forman said that he would take the kirby to the truck stop and give it to the driver to load on the truck.
When the truck arrived at my home in florida, the driver demanded a payment of over $9000 which was doube the original estimate.
I had no choice except to pay it or loose my property.
I had to pay the move in full before he would unload my prpperty and i refused and called the police.
The police came and they said that this was a civil matter and they could do nothing.
I paid the bill in full and then the driver had the truck un-loaded by the street people he found in town or the shelter. Not moving professionals that i was promised.
After the move, i noticed that my leather sectional was not even, only to find that they had lost the legs to half of my sectional.
They i noticed that my kirby vamume was missing and never delivered.
I called ideal and jeff gallo told me that he had the kirby and the legs in his office and would send them to me on the next truck to florida.
Since then, the owner john said that jeff gallo is no longer employed there and my kirby and legs were never there and john gallo lied to me.
I have been promised and lied to now for 4 months from the owner john who is a bigger lier then john gallo.
He said that he would submitt a insurance claime for my krrby and my sectional which was $3300. But he said that his insurance would only pay $360..
I was so burnt out of all of the lies that told him to send me the $360 so i could end this moving horror strory.
Now its been over a month and guess, what? No insurance check and jon is not available or out of town.
I warn you! Never use this company! They will rip you off like true rip off professional, not moving professionals.
