Terrel Mison ran off with my money! - hair weave / extensions

Terrel mison gave me the worst experience a customer could ever have
with her stylist. I had an appointment with Terrel for a full head
sew-in weave. He had serviced me once before and despite the extremely
hot and uncomfortable backroom of an African brainding shop he worked
out of - I was satisfied with the results so decided to stick it out
once again. I told Terrel upon my arrival that I had to e-mail my
final exam to my professor by 5PM. He assured me at 9am I would be
done well before that. At 4:30 - he refused to let me leave for 15
minutes to send the e-mail because he was tired and hungry... Quite
the diva. I had to call my friend who luckily was able to help me out.
Terrel finally finished sewing and we both were extremely hot,
exhausted, and hungry. I offered to come back in the morning for him
to cut and style my hair because it had been a long day for the both
of us. He agreed and told me he would be in at 11AM. I paid Terrel in
full including a portion of the tip because I didn't want him to think
I was not going to not show up or that I did not appreciate his time..
He was not there the next morning and did not respond to my phone
calls or texts. I did catch up with him the following day while he was
servicing another client. He was extremely dismissive and told me he
would call me in the week..
The following day I called and asked Terrel if he cut my hair and fix
a flipped track before I left that Thursday for work out of town. On a
Monday you would think that a stylist you paid $350 could see an
opening in his schedule to complete 20 minutes of work that had
already been paid for. Terrel told me he was busy all week and that he
couldn't finish my hair until the following Monday. After expressing
my dissatisfaction with his response and business ethics I was told a
few things about his emotional state, that he had no more time to give
me, and that the money I spent covered the time he spent on my hair. I
was then hung up on.
I made futher attempts to contact Terrel and even spoke to the shop
owner who told me Terrel sits around all day and had more than enough
time to fix/finish my hair. She apologized repeatedly and let me know
there was nothing she could do because everyone works for themselves
in her shop. They called Terrel on his phone and asked him to come
finish my hair. He refused, called me names, and told me he was going
to call the police on me. I said please do. Because I knew I was not
wrong and being treated unfairly. He hung up on me again. At that
point I had to sit and let the African ladies in the shop fix his
sewing job which costed me an additional $20. The next day I had to go
to another salon to have my hair cut professionally which costed me an
additional $80. After buying hair, paying Terrel, paying the
hair-braiders, and the cutter I had spent over $700 - and that doesn't
factor in the cost of being taken advantage of and mistreated as a
young women (this price is higher than any money I could possibly
spend on a hairdo).
I wondered why Terrel was working in the back of an African braiding
shop and still living at home with his parents after claiming to have
worked in so many reputable salons. After this experience I am
convinced that his customer service, problem-solving skills, and
inability to separate business from friendship has hindered him and
his career in many ways. I do have much sympathy for Terrel because it
is apparent that he is extremely unhappy but these feeling should not
interfere with your service or customer satisfaction - especially when
charging premium prices
