Having been in the jewelry industry as a store owner for several years, and a GIA grad. I was gobsmacked when I received the offer from things we buy this morning. I needed to liquidate excess inventory of diamonds, and sent more than 12 carats of SI1 or better and colorless goods to this company. The offer I received was $238.12
I paid over $30.00 just in shipping to get the diamonds to this scam artist company.
They claim to offer high pay outs, they claim NOT to be an online pawn shop. They're right. A pawn shop would have offered at least 4 times what they offered. This company is preying on people in a bad economic climate, who don't know any better.
I see their commercials on TV all the time touting the highest payouts in the industry. These are out and out lies. DO NOT send your gold, jewelry, diamonds, or watches to these people. You would be better off going to a pawn shop. This is a disgusting practive, that needs to be stopped!
