Ripoff Rebuilt Salvage Land Consumers BEWARE in used car lia

I bought a vehicle July of this year at Orlando Motors in Solvay, NY. Upon purchasing this vehicle, which is a 1991 BMW 325i, I asked the dealer, Dale Wood, a few things about the car. He told me the antenna was broke off of it because it was stolen down in Texas and Impounded in New Jersey.

I eventually decided to get it. I put $500 dollars down and traded my Jeep Cherokee ($1599). The money for the trade in and the money down went to some out-of-state Service Contract Company. I also received a Buyers Guide form that has Implied Warranty checked off.

I was approved for financing, which was $7000, with interest if I did the minimum amount payments, estimates to around $10000. He stated that the title is in New Jersey and will take a month or two to receive it. He told me that since it was stolen, it would have to go to the DMV for an inspection to ensure no other parts were stolen and because it was an out-of-state vehicle. He tells me to come back in a few days and he will register it and inspect it (NYS Inspection, not the DMV inspection. As I was driving home with the car, the steering wheel was shaking pretty violently. I asked him about this and he tells me that it is because one of the rims is slightly bent.

45 days after I last talk to him, it breaks down. I tow it to him and he tells me that it will need a new valve job (estimated 8 hours of work). He says that he will call in the claim to the Contract Service Company. A week goes by and I call the Contract Service Company asking them if they received an estimate and they tell me that the dealer never filed the claim, let alone an estimate. The Contract Service says that they will not pay for the work on the vehicle if the dealer has not called in the estimate.

I filed the claim and then I called the used car dealer and told him to call Contract Service after coming up with the estimate. He, then tells me that he is working with one of the Service Contract Rep. And for me not to worry. Everyday that I would call, he would tell me another day or two. Sometimes, he would be out of New York State, when he told me my car would be done that day.

It has now been 23 days, vehicle is still not done and last weekend I received the title. The title was randed "Rebuilt Salvage-NJ". I flipped out and paid the money to run a Carfax Check on the VIN# and it had 12 reports on the BMW. One states that an accident occurred in the year of 2000. The front right side hit head on with an oncoming vehicle. The report after that was "Junk Title issued". Then, a month before I purchased it, the dealer picked it up at an auction.

I immediately called up the dealer and told him that there was no disclosure of this car being in an accident and becoming a salvaged vehicle. He denies that it has been in an accident. He, again, tells me the car was stolen before. After 30 days, the insurance company reimbursed the owner at the time and then it was found in New Jersey and that is why it was salvaged, from what he says. He should give me a refund, but he is not negotiating with me. I have a pregnant fiancee who has been having complications and has to be closely monitored.

I have about a 40 minute drive into work, but with no car, it seems like a 1000 mile distance to work. I pay people to go way out of their range to come get me and take me to work. He must not get away with all of the shady things that he has done or hasn't done.
