I received a letter stating that I have won $50,000. There was a check enclosed that is from Duke Energy Corporation for $3950 to pay taxes in the UK. The letter refers to a world wide contest run by Walmart, Sears, Home Depot, Safeway, Kohls, etc. I phoned the Claim Agent Steve Brown and found him to be very evasive about any details of this contest. He requested that I go deposit the check and then call him for further instructions. I feel this is a scam, maybe a way to get my bank account and identity information. Please let me know what to do. I have the letter and the check (drawn on JP Morgan Bank)
