I do not consider myself stupid - just honest and naive. When I successfully copyrighted a song I wrote, I felt a sense of accomplishment. When I received an offer to publish it I was on cloud nine.
I realize now, that I was just another victim of the ongoing scam that Tom Hartman and his "Record" company use to lure the starry eyed into their web. I checked with the Better Business Bureau and my worst fears were realized. I had been taken for a sucker!
Tom Hartman assured me that he was going to deliver on his promised CD - High Country. He did, and in so doing negated any and all claims I might have initiated. The CD was awful!
He added insult to injury by issuing a royalty check for $19.00 At 60 cents a copy; that totals 31 copies. For the 1'st quarter of 2010. Mr. Hartman has the "balls" of a brass monkey! He continues to solicit more of my lyrics.
Trick me once - it's your fault. Trick me twice - and it's my fault. Never again Mr. Hartman.
Is there anything that can be done to put this guy out of business? If so, I would like to join in the fun
