False advertising - happy meals - False advertising & pricing

McDonald's has been airing tv ads for happy meals that show that famous red box with the arch handles and end with words like "... And it comes in this box" (One has a cute "Spaceman Stu" chilren's song & animation) Two weeks ago during the ad campaign, took my son (not quite 2) to McDonald's on a road trip. Stopped at McDonald's thought we'd get him his first Happy Meal. It came in a paper bag with word puzzles he obviously can't do. I wrote an online letter to McDonald's customer feedback expressing disappointment at the bag in light of what I called "blatantly false advertising". It wasn't so much the point of the bag as that the ads on TV are specifically referencing that it comes in the box, and as I ordred his first happy meal I was going to enjoy watching him open up the special box. I got a silly email that appeared to be a form letter written by "Lisa" (no last name) at 5 in the morning, explaining that I "May be interested to know" that they alternate using boxes and bags at different times to keep kids intereted (huh?) and to keep costs down (yes, I get that, but then again, McDonald's isn't exactly huring for money. No apology, they just thought I would want to know. Now there are even more ads, showing visuals of the box, offering WWE and Madame Alexander dolls, again verbally referencing how it comes in "this box." I can't belive McDonald's didn't even have a word of apology.
