DHS of Port Huron, MI took my child from me on July 29th because a jealous neighbor decided she wanted to pay me back for something that I didn't even do. I was given approximately six-nine months to get her back. DHS asked me to do several things before they were going to return her home to me; Random drug screens, parenting classes, employment, housing, no missed visits, etc. I fully complied with everything they were asking. I never missed a visit with my daughter - once they said I did but I had informed them in plenty of time that I had a job interview that morning. They said they never received that message. They continued to tell me how horrible my daughter felt because I didn't show up for the visit. I told them I had a great chance of getting a good job! Then the caseworker, Kathleen Frizzle (who lost her job throughout all of this) said that during a visit, my daughter looked at her in the two way mirror and then the worker reported that I had a funny look on my face, and that my daughter told her that was a sign I was going to spit on her. Oh my God I have never even hit my daughter let alone spit on her. Then she twisted everything around and reported that every time I came to a visit, I seemed to be disinterested and would just talk about men. Another lie. I actually would bring games to play with my daughter.
These are a few of the accusations that were filed in a report, and they were lies, downright lies! I couldn't believe a government agency could just make up anything they wanted and get away with it. The foster mother that my daughter had, insisted that my daughter should call her "mom" and the foster dad "dad". This was the first day my daughter came to their house and I still was the legal mother and had all of my rights. That was deadly wrong to do and damaging to my child. The foster mother wanted my daughter from the beginning of this case. I knew it. And she worked the system to get her away from me all of the way through the trial to terminate my rights. She committed perjury on the stand several times and so did the foster care worker, Kathleen Frizzle, and got away with it. The judge didn't really listen. He had his head down looking at a book the entire trial which lasted six months. Well, they terminated my rights stating reasons that were not true." I didn't complete the drug tests" I did nine of them and was only asked to do four! I didn't take parenting classes. I had a certificate that I had taken parenting classes. I missed visits. I never missed visits and was always on time except for the one that I had a job interview that morning, and I let Kathleen Frizzle know in advance about the appointment! I had a place to stay, but it wasn't good enough for them. I guess they wanted to see me live in a mansion!
What this had done to me. This has literally ruined my life. I have no hope left, no family at all, my daughter was my only blood relative, and I am clinically depressed, half of the time, I can't get out of bed. I cry every day - four and a half years, and I have a difficult time concentrating at work. I just exist. I don't participate in life, and every day I am reminded about what I have lost in drugstores, grocery stores, on the street, seeing school buses go by, holidays and many many other things. This has literally shattered my heart, broken my soul and my spirit. My advice is to stay away from St. Clair County and Port Huron because it could happen to you no matter who you are. If you are a multi-millionaire you have a better chance because that is all they care about is $. The more they make off of innocent victims like us, the happier they become. Be cautious!
