My husband and I were invited to attend one of the 90-minute presentations. We had our intro with a saleman type and then sat for the slide show. We have been to one other "time share" presentation and figured this was similar.
We watched the presentation, and then the true PUSH began. Our salesman asked if we liked what we'd seen. If we did, would we say "yes" or "no" to the offer? We politely explained that it looked interesting, but we were not going to plop down $9-16,000 without knowing exactly where the properties were and more about the company. That's when the "manager" stepped in to try to convince us. She was pushy and when we held our ground, she got totally preturbed and became quite "curt". She told us we could "use a computer in the office and see some of the properties". She said, "You've stayed in other resorts, you know what they look like". We reiterated that we had no intention of making any commitment on the spot. We were then ushered out and she said, "I suppose you want your gift".
We got it. We'll see if it's any good. I'm sure there are so many restrictions it'll be impossible to use the "free trip".
Whatever. Glad I read this.
It all seemed too good to be true, and when they insisted that we "buy in" on the spot, we became more and more suspicious.
