My son has asthma. I took him in for an appointment at his doctor's office (PCP-Dr. D. Leong) 03/18/10 to be certain everything's alright. At the conclusion, the doctor who saw us said we were finished. I inquired about the refilled prescriptions. He said they would be faxed over to the last pharmacy I used. That never happened. More than a week later, I was still trying to locate where to fill the prescription. So, I called back to the doctor's office. The female who answered had an intensely negative tone from the onset. I explained my need to get my son's medicine. I made it halfway through my speaking. She began interrupting, cutting me off, being condescending and unnecessarily placing me on hold for extended times in hopes that I would hang up. She became beligerent, raised the octaves in her voice and eventually gave the phone to someone else (female). No one gave me their name. The problem here is that my son's condition is life-threatening without medicine. This delay further endangers him. The unprofessional, far less than courteous mannerism (s) demand immediate attention. I feel my son isn't the only one who has his life hanging in the balance, being jeopardized.
