APEX Alarm Systems is a complete rip off. I had a young, out of state, representative who was going door to door in my neighborhood. He showed me all these bogus photos of criminals who had allegedly broken into homes with copies of keys to the home. He promised this and he promised that, and it all sounded legit. He also stated that i could cancel at anytime, NOT TRUE, you have 3 days to cancel. How do you even know if the system works in three days unless someone breaks into your home within those three days?
I had my system installed in August I used it at night when my husband was out of town. First of all the system is linked through your phone line and does not go directly to the police department. My mother, who works for our local police department says the average time it takes for the alarm to go through to the police once it is set off is 1-2 hours!!! WOW, we might be dead by then!
Three months ago my alarm system just stopped working, no clue what's wrong with it, I have tried hitting every button on the control panel. I called APEX in September and tried to cancel when they told me I signed a 3 year contract and unless I had someone else who wanted to system and who would take over payments, I had no option but to continue paying for my system. I have contacted the company several times since then trying to cancel and telling them my system doesn't even work now, and they continue to say I have no options. Whatever you do... Don't fall for all the BS the handsome, young salesman (who isn't even from your state) feeds you.
