HP Refusing to take responsibility for a known defect THEY WANT ME TO PAY TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE!

My notebook was purchased MAY and unbeknownst to me already defective from the manufacturer. 4 days ago today the notebook does not turn on at all I have tried everything. I went to HP's website apparently there is a recall for a whole bunch of different notebook models made by them. Not only was I not notified that the product that HP sold to me was defective but they want to charge me $259.00 to fix their mistake!

So after speaking to 3 different people somewhere in India one of which was a so called supervisor who sounded like a robot, I got nothing resolved I am stuck with a notebook that does not turn on wether I like it or not. WARNING: DO NOT BUY AN HP NOTEBOOK OR DESKTOP!!! I paid $1,700.00 for this notebook and quite frankly I now realize it is an overpriced piece of junk. SWITCHING TO MACS!!! HP's customer service is HORRIBLE save your self an aneurysm and a really bad investment!
