I went to Gordons because my "check engine" light was on and they told me that I needed to go clear over to Niles to the Saturn dealership to have it checked (imagine the cost). I had a friend look at my car and immediately he said it was probably a fuse, went to auto zone, put it in and the light went out and no problems since. No, wouldn't recommend them.
Here's a much better one. How about a guy buys a car from this wonderful establishment with a nice little box in it that shuts the car off if you are the slightest bit late on a payment, which this guy, by the way, never was. Next, he moves out of town, lets them know he is moving and gives his address. Honest, right? Gordons makes the statement that if he does not make payments they can still shut his car off. He states that he realizes that. That he has always made his payments on time and always will, so that wouldn't be a problem. He makes sure he is all payed up before he leaves. Actually, 6 days before he leaves. He pays, this establishment runs, and I mean runs to the bank as soon as that check is in their hands as it was stamped by the bank shortly after it was handed to them. It was posted to the gentlemans account the very next day. 5 days before he ever left town. Half way to his destination, they shut his car down. I don't think you can get anymore dirty than that. A day later, they still have not turned the car on. Calls to this dealership resulted in hang ups or an answering machine. When finally reached the response was that it had to be the car. A garage already showed him that the car started fine when routing around the box. Not the vehicle. When the manufacturer of the box was called they said it had to have been shut off by the dealership. Gordon's solution is to have the vehicle towed clear back to Greenville or pay off the vehicle! It seems they have seriously broken their own contract. They have incurred many fees due to this and when it is all said and done, it will not be this gentleman that has the bill or balance. I see a lawsuit from about 3 different angles. Not to mention the BBB will need to be made aware and the whole town of Greenville. I might add there was nothing in the contract about not taking it out of town. Dirty business is bad enough, but to not care if you leave someone stranded alone 3 states away, not knowing anyone, you will not only be called on it but you will answer for it.
Now we have Fry's Appliances (extension of the above family business). Clogged refrigerator drain. 2 guys took off the door, stood and looked at it for 10 minutes, and turned the heat up. Charged $70.00."I" cleaned the drain!
