I was attracted by a free trial of an Acai Berry weight loss program and (with it) a Colon Cleanse. The trial is for 10 days from the time of shipping. I was on a business trip and ended up using the trial for about 4 days. I could not see it working but I missed the deadline of the 10 day trial to cancel. I cancelled anyway and embarked on a refund which was systematically declined.
Because the company would only permit the use of a debit card on ordering, they charged my checking account for $149.95 two times (once for the Acai and once for the Colon Cleanse). My bank was wholly unsympathetic.
Where do I go from here?
