We made the terrible mistake of buying a timeshare at Surrey Grand Crowne Resort in Branson, Missouri about April 15. We got harrassed into going to their timeshare presentation. We told the sales people, we already owned too many timeshares and did not want any more. They offered to take one of them off our hands and give us $500.00 deposit for it. The agreement we made with them stated they transfer title within 90 days. When we got the maintenance fee bill from the timeshare we thought we did not own any more, we sent it back and told them we did not own it any more. Now they are threatening to take us to collections and say we owe a late fee and we have lost use of it this year. We have been told if we do not want our good credit ruined we will have to pay it. Grand Crowne's attitude is to blame it on some third party. What really happened is they dropped the ball on this and left us severely harmed and shafted by them. These people are so disorganized. They do not send maintenance fee bills, you have to just know when they are due and pay them. If you do not know when they are due you still have to pay the late fee. After all it is never their fault. Please do not make the mistake we made and own at Grand Crowne Resort.
