If you want customer service don't buy at jennifer leather

I purchased a leather couch at Jennifer Leather in May. At the time of purchase I was told the couch would be delivered in a week. Two hours later that day I received a call from the "manager" of the store who also sold me the couch, he stated that when he put the order into the computer he realized that there were no more in stock. He went on to explain to me that a new order would take only three weeks. Because I really liked the couch I decided to wait the three weeks. Three weeks came and I heard nothing about the couch.

I then had to call the manager who proceeded to tell me that it still wasn't in and he'd call me when it was. A month later he finally called me and said the couch was in. We set the delivery date for 2 weeks later. The day before the deliver, after I already requested the day off from work, I received a call from a saleperson at the store who stated that upon reaching the warehouse, they noticed my couch was damanged.

As a result no couch was delievered to me. At that point my patience wore thin. I was irrate and disappointed. I asked the manager what could he do for me at this point. His reply was nothing - I told him that minimally I wanted the return of my deliever cost. He informed that he had no authority to do that and I would have to speak to the district manager. Finally after a week I got into contact with the district manager.

He listened to my story and as I was anticipating that he would say that he would return my delivery cost he actually stated, "I'M SORRY BUT WE DON'T RETURN DELIVERY CHARGES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES." I finally received my couch in late August. Waiting three months for a couch and having 1,000 dollars out of my account (not accuring interest for me) was totally unacceptable.

The moral of my story is. Don't buy at Jennifer Leather - because if there is a problem and I'm sure there will be one - they won't take care of you. I've purchased a lot of furniture in my life and I've never dealt with a company that doesn't go out of their way to please a customer.
