Properties, Omega Construction, Washington Gardens LLC, Washington Heights llc, Saint AnnSquare LLC, Or Crescent City Collections, you need to collect as much of your money as possible up front or nowand cease to do any further work for this guy. Why?
Joshua Lawrence Bruno, (Josh Bruno or J. Bruno) of the companieslisted above, will never pay his balance in full. He insists on getting adiscount while he slams the door in your face. This person is verydemanding, very high maintenance and extremely rude. He will schedule anappointment for you and leave you waiting in the lobby for over 90 minutes, shut the door in your face, ignore your phone calls, and then will not pay youfor the work that you have done. I am a local business in the Great city of New Orleans, and I havealways taken the extra steps to ensure that my customers are taken care 100%Bruno Inc was no exception, in fact, I postponed 3 clients in order to handlehis urgent requests. His work was done in 2 phases over his 4 apartmentcomplexes, his office on 3929 Tulane ave (where he is always at) and on hismaintenance van After the first phase Josh Bruno received an invoice that wasalready at a discounted rate, but still demanded more. After severalheadaches and a promise of future work, the discounted rate was discountedfurther. The discount that I offered was for my company to"eat" one of the work orders, meaning the rates were the same but hestill received more of a discount. After he was paid in full for thefirst phase he then issued a new list of projects to be handled as soon aspossible. After the equipment had come in, My Company took care of all hisneeds in a timely manner. Everything was installed professionally andworking properly. Josh Bruno received the invoices for each one of his projectsand was billed 40% below the industries current hourly rate, and he still wasnot happy. He then told me what he was going to pay and said take it orleave it.
This rate was at 70% below my competitors prices and 30% below myinvoices. I stated the discounts that he wasalready receiving and how my company could not afford to work fornext to nothing. His response was to take it or leave it, and if I triedto take the matters to small claims court, he would use his governmentconnections to tie it up in an ongoing legal battle. We are a small company that does honest and professional work inthe greater New Orleans area, and to work for Bruno Inc for over 4 weeks andnot receive a dime, hurts. Currently Josh Bruno is sounhappy with our work that he has kept the equipment that we installed and isrefusing to pay for it as well. It is strange that someone wouldrefuse to pay and refuse to give the equipment back too.
His Current balance is sitting over several thousand dollars. This man known as Joshua Bruno, is from New York and claims tohave mob ties, he is the type of person that curses out all of his employeesand wonders why they all quit at one time. The amount of stressthat I have received is out of this world, I have had migraines dailyin dealing with this company. As I felt that I may be alone I starteddigging around for others that may have had similar issues I have found 7 sofar and counting. If you are curious, then Google his name with fraud, complaint, or rip off and see what pops up. He hunts companies down on Craigslist.org or he orders his minions to do his dirty work. He is constantly looking for new employees, and or contractors promising the world but instead handing them a bag of something less pleasant.
I should have read the signs in dealing with this guy as he hadseveral other companies in before me that refuse to do any more work for him orhis company. I made the mistake of thinking that I could be that companyand shine through where others have failed.
As a response to my post I am sure he will say things such asdisgruntled contractor, or my rates were insane, somewhere along these lines, but the facts remain. He agreed to my rates when he paid them inthe first phase. I have worked for my competition and I know exactlywhat everyone else charges. My companys rates are way below thecompetition, as I don't have the overhead that they do.
Let Bruno Inc. Say what they will, the fact is he hates to paypeople, and if he doesn't want to pay you, then he will NOT PAY. His goalis to have you do all the work, never pay you, then hire someone else to finishthe job.
Josh Bruno is the Reason For Contracts.
