We have two Bruno chairglides in our home as my wife is paralyzed and needs them to go to the front door and to the basement. These were installed in 2002 by American Medical Supply, a rep of Bruno in Pittsburgh, PA.

In November the chairglide from the living room to the front door was not working and I called AMS and their rep came to the house. He said the batteries were very bad and put in two new batteries for $200.

After a day or so the chair still wasn't working properly and he came again. He has come to the house about 5 times and can't find the problem. I contacted Bruno's service dept via e-mail. The AMS guy said he's been in contact with the company by phone but it has come to the point that the AMS guy doesn't return phone calls from me and Bruno doesn't respond to e-mails (they called me after the first one within 5 minutes!).

We now have a chairglide that hasn't worked properly since November (this is Feb. 11) and neither the manufacturer or the rep won't address the product failure. Apparently they don't know how to fix their own equipment.

I tried to contact a Bruno rep out of the area and have received no response from them. They get your money - you're on your own.
