Host Bandit, Ripoff and Scam

Ventura IT Solutions web hosting business at HostBandit.com totally ripped me off. They had a 5 day satisfaction guarantee and cheap services so I thought I'd give em a try, how bad could it be? Well I wanted a Google Blogger blog setup for my site and in Googles tutorial for setting it up they needed a CNAME record added. I couldn't do it through their panel and so I asked for support. They said they wouldn't do this for me. So I asked for my refund. They told me I had to fill out a form with my personal information, get a copy of a government issued ID and mail both to them in order to get my refund. I asked them to give me the justification for mailing them a form with my personal information and a copy of my ID for a simple refund of web hosting services. They never answered. Plus I had 3 days to get this stuff to them. At the bottom of their website, they have a link to their Terms of Service. I never officially agreed to their TOS at any point of signing up for their services.

They only have a link to it hidden at the bottom. The TOS says I can't mail them the form via signature required mail, and they go on to say they're not responsible for lost mail. So basically, you have no way of ensuring they get your form/ID, which is bull anyways. I paid with PayPal and they denied my claim saying they only decide on shipped goods. Keep that in mind before doing service based business with someone that takes PayPal for payments. I filed a better business bureau complaint and we'll see what they say... Also note, they tried enticing me to send them the form by telling me they would offer me this and that, well at the bottom of these e-mails it said, "legal notice: nothing in this e-mail is a promise, blah blah blah, this e-mail is private and can't be reproduced." These guys think they're smart, well this is as unethical as a business can get right here. They offer other services like search engine optimization and other stuff but honestly, I don't know who in the heck would want to do business with these scammers. They basically robbed me for $12, pretty sad really. I know times are rough but they must be really rough if you resort to robbing someone over the net for $12.
