Do not trust New York Life Agents. They sold me a Long Term Disability Policy that turned out to be worthless. After paying premiums since 1995, I found out the policy is impossible to collect on. I have spent the last 4 years trying to get a settlement on a disability. Although my Dr.'s have stated that my vision is so poor I am unable to do my job in telecommunications. They just keep denying my claim. They will sell you a policy that will provide your family income if you cannot work as they say. Just try to collect on it. They will drag it out either until you are bankrupt, and or can no longer afford to pay the premiums. The agents that sell the policy will not even lift a finger to help you. You are left out on your own.
